A Hall for all White Box.png

Our Vision

To create a true heart for our community, a welcoming, vibrant, and inclusive space where everyone belongs. The new Village Hall will be a hall for all: a place where people can meet, celebrate, learn, and be supported. Rooted in the faith and heritage of St Nicholas Church, Chislehurst, this hall will be a gift to our whole community: not only for future generations, but for all of us, here and now.

Our Purpose

The Village Hall exists to provide a modern, welcoming, and accessible community space at the heart of Chislehurst. It will be a place where people can gather, belong, and grow, supporting community life, wellbeing, creativity, and faith.

The hall will:

•    Welcome local groups, schools, charities, and church activities.
•    Offer space for care, support, and wellbeing close to home.
•    Celebrate creativity, learning, and community connection.
•    Extend hospitality and practical help to all, regardless of background or belief.

Our Values

At the heart of A Village Hall for All are the values that define St Nicholas and the Chislehurst community:

•    Inclusivity: Everyone is welcome. Every voice matters.
•    Community: A shared space that brings people together and strengthens local life.
•    Faith: Inspired by Christian love and service, open to all who seek connection and hope.
•    Sustainability: Built and run with care for God’s creation, ensuring a lasting legacy.
•    Heritage: Honouring our past as we build for the future.

Our Goals

•    Build and equip a sustainable, flexible hall that meets the practical needs of our growing community.

•    Foster connection by providing spaces that encourage friendship, reduce isolation, and strengthen community spirit.

•    Collaborate with local organisations, schools, and healthcare providers to deliver meaningful activities and services.

•    Ensure accessibility and affordability, so the hall is truly open and welcoming to everyone.

•    Encourage shared ownership and pride, recognising this hall as a resource built by and for the whole community.

Why Now

Our community deserves a space that reflects who we are today, diverse, caring, and connected. The Village Hall is not just a building project; it’s an invitation to belong. By coming together to create A Hall for All, we are shaping a future where everyone has a place, to gather, to grow, to give, and to be known.

A Call to Action

This vision can only come to life through the support, creativity, and generosity of our whole community. Whether through time, skills, donations, or encouragement, you can help make “A Hall for All” a reality. Together, we can build more than a hall — we can build a home for our community, now and for generations to come.

Thank you.
