Men's Group
Every man deserves a place where he can be honest about how he’s really doing.
When one man speaks up, another finds courage.
When a community stands together,
no one stands alone.
Let’s build a culture where men support men
openly and without judgement.
Men's Ministry at St Nicks
Across the UK, too many men struggle in silence with their mental health. We believe that no one should feel they have to face life’s challenges alone.
At St Nicholas Church, Chislehurst, we believe that faith and community should be places where people can be honest about the challenges they face. Sadly, many men still struggle with their mental health in silence. As Christians, we believe no one should feel alone, and that caring for one another is at the heart of the Gospel.
Through St Nick’s Men’s Group, we are seeking to raise awareness of men’s mental health and encourage men to talk, support one another, and find hope. Our aim is to help create safe spaces where men can build friendships, share life’s struggles, and be reminded that they are valued and loved by God.
As part of a wider vision for a community village hall in Chislehurst, we hope to establish a dedicated team focused on supporting men’s mental health, offering encouragement, conversation, and practical support within a welcoming Christian community.
We are also partnering with the charity ManUp?, which works to challenge stigma and encourage men to speak openly about mental health.
To raise awareness and funds for this work, members of our team plan to take part in the Two Ball Rally across Europe in 2027. Through this challenge we hope to shine a light on men’s mental health while raising funds for the development of the village hall and the support initiatives we hope to offer there.
Our prayer is that this project will help create a place where men in Chislehurst can find friendship, support, and hope, and where our community can reflect Christ’s call to love and care for one another.
